This gorgeous agate brooch dates back to the 20th century and is truly a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. The focal point is the incredible dendritic agate cabochon, which measures 16.3 x 28.7 mm. Dendritic agate is known for its misty translucence with fern-like inclusions called dendrites. These dendrites are formed from excess iron and manganese. It almost looks like a small underwater scene with tiny plants, or a misty forest. The main cabochon is surrounded by gorgeous hammered 14k gold, making the entire piece 37 x 25 mm, and can be worn as a brooch or as a pendant as pictured here.
