A Victorian diamond star stunner with layers of chunky old cuts and long knife-point rays giving it so much depth and movement. Crafted in 18k gold and silver, the design is built around a large old mine cut center with graduating old mine cuts radiating outward through each point. The darkened silver setting makes the diamonds pop against the warm gold reverse, and the mix of larger stones with tightly set smaller old cuts gives the whole piece that rich antique texture.
The brooch weighs 8.7 grams and measures approx. 37 x 37 mm. Set with approximately 6 carats total weight of old mine cut diamonds, with the largest diamond approx. 0.80 carat, grading approx. G–I / VS–SI. Finished with original spin-off brooch and pendant fittings, plus an attached safety chain
