An extremely unique locket from the Victorian period. This piece is crafted from matte bloomed yellow gold, and is composed of several different structural elements; the focal point being a golden sphere at the center with a navy enamel 8-pointed star enclosing 15 old mine and rose cut diamonds.
The total weight of this locket is 18 grams, and it measures 37.7 x 52.3 mm (or 1.5" x 2"). The locket is 23 mm thick, or 0.8", and the back locket panel is 22 mm in diameter. There is a bail located on the back, by the locket panel (see photo). The estimated total carat weight of the diamonds is 0.63 carat.
I put a chain through the two teared openings to wear as a pendant- or contact us for a pendant bail to be added to hang vertically.
