A wild Victorian stag beetle brooch with incredible construction and detail from every angle. Crafted in 18k gold and silver, the body is completely covered in rose cut diamonds with the darkened silver setting giving the stones strong contrast against the warm gold legs and underside. The head is finished with tiny cabochon ruby eyes, and the pincers curve around a single pearl at the front. The dimensional build is so good, with articulated-looking legs, a raised diamond body and all of the structure visible from the side and back.
The brooch weighs 17.9 grams and measures 53 × 21 × 17 mm. Set with approx. 2.20 carats total weight of rose cut diamonds, a 4 mm pearl and 2 mm cabochon ruby eyes. French import mark
