Circa 1880s. Solid 18k yellow gold, 12.5 grams. An antique anchor and crescent moon brooch set with old mine and rose cut diamonds, measuring approximately 48.5 x 20.7mm. The piece is finished in a high polish, with rope detailing wrapped around the anchor and moon.
The diamonds are open-backed, allowing light to move through the stones and emphasizing the hand-cut character of the old mine and rose cuts.
