Victorian gem-set circular brooch pendant crafted in rich 15k gold, weighing 10.6 grams and measuring approximately 27 mm in diameter excluding the bail. The scale is balanced, substantial, and carries that unmistakable late 19th century presence.
At the center sits an approximately 0.70 carat unheated purple sapphire, grounded and luminous. It is framed by approximately 0.80 carats of Burmese rubies with saturated, natural color. Surrounding them are approximately 1.80 carats total weight of old mine cut diamonds, broad faceting and real depth, alongside approximately 3.75 carats of unheated sapphires that build layers of tone and contrast. The result is true Victorian color harmony, bold but considered.
The brooch and pendant fittings remain original, exactly as intended. It can be worn pinned or suspended without later alteration, preserving both integrity and versatility the way period jewels were meant to live.
