The most special vintage Mid-Century 14k white gold ring, featuring a truly incredible oval cut amethyst that is approximately 12.38 carats. The band consists of a delicate array of filigree work, adding an extra layer of dimension and detail to this piece. The enormous amethyst is complimented by a ring of pearls around her setting, 40 tiny seed pearls in total. We believe this ring likely dates back to the 60’s.
The amethyst is beautifully faceted and has gorgeous clarity- I’d describe this as a lavender-to-grape colored amethyst, which might be one of my favorites. The delicious stone in combination with the delicacy of the pearls and filigree come together to make this a really special ring.
She’s a sizable 6 and has a quite thin band at 1.5 mm.
