Just gorgeous! This is a pair of diamond drop earrings dating back to the Edwardian period. The Edwardian period was a time where many preferred to return to the old way of crafting jewelry, taking inspiration from the Victorian period, and these earrings are no exception. They are exquisitely crafted, and feature two octagonal frames at the bottom that each carry an old cut diamond. These are attached to a teardrop-shaped bar that is studded with rose cut diamonds, which is then attached to another smaller old cut diamond. Both old cuts on each earring are milgrain bezel set, and the rose cut diamonds have some milgrain details around them as well. The earrings measure 35 x 6 x 2 mm.
This is a well articulated pair, and are so delicate and lovely, in excellent antique condition. They have very secure backs, almost a combination of lever and omega backs. The total estimated carat weight of the four old cut diamonds is approximately 0.60 carat.
