This is a divine rendition of the most famous woman in Christianity, the Virgin Mary. She is depicted here in profile, facing left, with a halo behind her head to represent her status, importance to God and holiness. The halo is then bordered by incredibly detailed openwork flowers, all done in 18k that has been bloomed to a high karat finish. The face of Mary is extremely lifelike, as is her veil.
The entire pendant is 18.2 grams and has a 36 mm diameter, making this a large piece. Hallmarked "Becker" on Mary's shoulder.
