Set with an approximately 2.00 and .16 carat no heat Ceylon sapphire, approximately 1.00 carats old mine cut diamonds (I - J color, SI clarity), approximately .40 carat of demantoid garnets. Measures 40 x 30 mm and hangs from a 17 inch chain, 15.5” wearable length.
The color combination here is what gets me. That rich blue sapphire against the vivid green demantoids is pure Art Nouveau. The old mine cuts add just enough sparkle without taking over the design.
The intricate openwork is incredible, giving the piece a light, almost floating feel despite all the detail. Fluid lines, natural movement, and all the craftsmanship that made this period so special. A beautiful example with great color and presence.
