A fabulous Art Deco heart pendant dating to circa 1930, crafted in platinum with rich midnight blue enamel glass and a wonderful combination of old cut and rose cut diamonds. The deep blue enamel glass creates incredible contrast against the bright platinum and diamonds, with a border of old cuts surrounding an inner heart outlined in tightly set rose cut diamonds. At the center is an intricate arrangement of Cupid’s arrows, bow, and quiver, all executed in tightly set rose cut diamonds. These romantic symbols have been associated with love for centuries, with Cupid’s arrows representing the power of love to strike the heart, while the bow and quiver symbolize romance, passion, and desire. The heart itself represents love and devotion, while the rich midnight blue has historically been associated with loyalty and faithfulness. Together, these elements create a jewel filled with wonderful sentiment and symbolism. The pendant opens with a pressure fitting, revealing a hidden interior intended to hold something personal and meaningful. The reverse is solid platinum with a smooth, substantial construction and a wonderful weight for its size.

Crafted in platinum weighing 12 grams. Measures 23 x 22 x 8 mm excluding the diamond set bail, which measures 8.5 mm in length with a 4 mm interior opening. Set with approximately 0.30 carats total weight of old cut diamonds and an additional 84 rose cut diamonds ranging from approximately 0.5 to 1.5 mm.
