This antique brooch is crafted from yellow gold and a seed pearl border around the frame, with both a bin and bail on the back for versatility of wear. A miniature of a dancing skeleton rests inside the frame, a later addition by EJM. The skeleton is surrounded by stars and is done in iridescent paint. The whole brooch weighs 3.6 grams and measures 33 x 14 mm.
