One of the most fabulous antique articulated pieces I've ever seen! This antique lorgnette tests as solid 18k yellow gold, and is engraved all over with intricate floral motifs. The handle has a triangular hole to be worn on a watch chain or similar, and is inscribed with the initials "J.F H" below the front lens. When the latch on the reverse side is hit, the lens expands and becomes pair of readers! The action is spring-loaded and still in near-perfect working condition. This awesome piece of history weighs 20.1 grams, is 3.25" long, and each lens measures 41 mm in diameter.
