As some of you know, we LOVE swallows. Swallows are a common motif from the Victorian period, and these birds often appear at winter’s end- as such, they symbolize good luck and positive change. This Victorian swallow in particular is shown against a wreath, which symbolizes continuous life. This piece has an estimated 2.25+ carats of old mine cut diamonds, and was converted from a brooch to a pendant by our shop because it had a damaged replacement pin and we wanted to make it more wearable. It is a perfect size, measuring 35.3 x 31.9 mm, and is a beautiful example of Victorian craftsmanship!
