A fabulous antique orb pendant featuring beautifully banded agate mounted in 18k yellow gold. The natural layers of the agate give the orb incredible depth and character, complemented by an old mine cut diamond star setting at its center.
The star features an approximately 0.15 carat old mine cut diamond surrounded by tiny rose cut diamonds at the points. The contrast of the old cut diamonds against the polished agate and gold is beautiful, with the star adding a distinctly Victorian touch.
Measuring 30 mm in diameter, the substantial orb weighs 38.7 grams and retains its large original curved gold bail. A beautiful example of antique lapidary work and goldsmithing, combining natural stone, old cut diamonds, and celestial symbolism.
The photos do have some reflections that are not imperfections. They are outdoors and outdoor lighting. This item is an excellent condition with no cracks or chips.
