This bracelet completely knocked me out the first time I saw it. It has everything I love about antique jewelry. Handmade gold construction, chunky old mine cut diamonds, unheated Burmese rubies with unbelievable color, and every single bezel made by hand to fit the individual shape of each stone. Nothing is standardized or manufactured. Every ruby and every diamond dictated the gold that surrounds it, and that is exactly what makes old jewelry so special.
Crafted in 18k yellow gold and weighing 29.4 grams. Set with approximately 11.00 carats of old mine cut diamonds, G–I color and VS–SI clarity, alternating with approximately 7.00 carats of Burmese no heat rubies. The contrast between the bright, chunky diamonds and the rich raspberry red rubies is breathtaking. The rubies have the kind of color that is becoming extraordinarily difficult to find, especially with no indications of heat treatment.
Measuring 8 inches in length with a graduating width of 7.9 to 5.9 mm. Finished with a concealed box clasp and safety chain for secure wear.
I have handled a tremendous amount of antique jewelry over the years, and this is one of my favorite bracelets I have ever owned. The craftsmanship is exceptional, the gemstones are extraordinary, and finding antique Burmese no heat rubies of this quality paired with old mine cut diamonds in an original handmade bracelet is something that comes along incredibly rarely. It is one of those pieces that checks every single box.
