This gorgeous Georgian period snake bangle is crafted in 18k yellow gold and remains all original and in pristine condition, with a beautiful bloomed patina and incredible warm gold color. The snake’s head is tightly set with more than 20 turquoise cabochons, finished with two old ruby eyes and beautifully detailed features that give her such a distinct expression. Her mouth curves around to bite her own body, creating the classic ouroboros design, an ancient symbol of eternity, renewal and continual motion.
The construction is just as special. A double-hinged underside allows the softly curved body and head to open and then sit securely together across the top of the wrist. The bangle weighs 29.1 grams and best fits an approx. 5.75–6.5 inch wrist.
