The Maya Angelou – The Transformation Emerald Ring


This gold and emerald ring was designed for the EJM Transformation collection in honor of Maya Angelou.  Maya was a black American woman, civil rights activist, poet and author. She laid our path today through her powerful words and advocacy for equality. She is an icon who left a mark that will never fade.

I chose this green emerald for her because the color’s symbolism of rebirth, tranquility and compassion. This gorgeous ring is set with a square cabochon emerald in a tapered 14k mounting with a raised bezel and a raw brushed finish. The gemstone is clear with small jardin inclusions and a soft minty green color. It measures 5.4 x 4.9 mm and weighs approximately.27 carats.

In honor of women’s history month, a portion of the sale of this item will be donated to The National Women’s History Museum.
