Georgian Foiled Garnet Mourning Brooch

$600.00

Eight bright foiled garnets, 6 mm in diameter, surround the center weaved hair display of this Georgian Period mourning brooch. The reverse side is engraved, “Rich. Eyke died July 2nd 1828“. This brooch is in very good antique condition. It has a replacement pin catch fixture that was added in antiquity. This item cannot be immersed in liquids because moisture will damage the foil behind the garnets.
